An adoptive grandmother of sorts, she does her best to guide Lysan onto the path she believes is right for them. But in a rapidly changing world, will she let her convictions get in the way of being the support that Lysan needs? Or will she be the rock that Lysan has lacked since the death of their father?

Ariana had a tough life growing up, and had to learn to steal to survive. But when she and her brother start to get into matters of far larger scope than they’re used to, will she accept the help of those that care for her, or will she push away even the most helping of hands?
Rafa
An excellent fighter and masterful chef, Rafa is a beloved fixture of Lazenna’s fighting scene. The loyal son of immigrants, he sees himself as responsible for the wellbeing and protection of his family. However, as a deep traditionalist, Rafa holds mageweaving and those who use it in contempt and distrust. As Lysan enters his life, will his deep-seeded convictions prevent Lysan from making a meaningful connection with him?
Luca
As a member of the secretive Black Coats, Luca is expected to put the future of the city of Lazenna before everything else. But is the future the Black Coats seek truly what is best for the city, and will Lysan be able to find the true man hidden behind the icy veneer?
